The Paris Games will be the first return of Djokovic to the city since withdrawing from the French Open last month due to a knee injury before reaching the quarterfinals.
The tennis competitions at the Paris Olympics will be held at Roland Garros, the historic French Open venue from July 27 to August 4.
Andy Murray and Rafael Nadal are expected to face Djokovic with Murray suggesting that the Games would be a fitting end to his career.
