Kanye West’s Twitter Account Reactivated

Elon Musk, owner of Twitter now called X has reanimated the account of popular American singer and fashion designer Kanye West also known as Ye after 7 months of suspension. Ye’s account which has over 31.5 million followers now appears with a golden verification tick as an indication that the account is acknowledged by X as an official account.

The account of West was suspended since December 2022 for his several antisemitic comments which violated the rules of the  social media platform.

Though the account has been deactivated, it won’t be able to monetize its posts under the recently launched Ad revenue feature and West is under the condition of not posting antisemitic or hateful content.
As a reminder, due to antisemitic posts made by Ye, many brands the singer was representing parted ways with him including ADIDAS where Ye earned 150 to 200 million dollars a year.
