Adeline Sede Kamga, Wins Courage Awards
We are pleased to announce that Adeline Sede Kamga, Founder of FabAfriq Media Group has been recognised with the Courage Awards 2022 by The American Chamber of Commerce Cameroon. This is for her exceptional courage in leadership and her contribution in promoting women in leadership. The award ceremony took place on the 15th of March 2022 in Douala Cameroon with over 200 guests in attendance. Five women were recognised nationwide during the award ceremony including Fotabe Elmine. founder of Fotabe University, Njitam Beatrice of WhiteHouse and others. Past recipients of this prestigious award are Kate Fotso of Telcar, Gwendoline Abunaw, MD of Ecobank Cameroon and Cluster-head of Ecobank CEMAC region. The Courage Award is generally given to women who have demonstrated thought leadership in championing community change or have shown courage in their professional endeavours to positively impact the community.
For over 15 years, Adeline has championed different programs that empower women to take up challenging roles such as business start-up, career progression or community growth. Her area of expertise spans training and development, workshops and masterclasses and in organising women in leadership conferences. In 2016, she launched The Corporate Women in Leadership program, a platform for women in the corporate environment to share experiences, challenges, and opportunities with the aim of inspiring others in taking lead roles.
Over the years, Corporate Women in Leadership has successfully hosted seasoned conversations with Alpha Women in the corporate environment, recording positive results in helping women take the lead. Incorporated is the mentor-mentee program, where mentors with high profiles are paired with mentees to support them gain relevant skills to achieve their full potential. Worth noting is the fact that The Corporate Women in Leadership summits have gathered more than 12,000 women on both its Live Stream events and physical events around Africa (Cameroon, Côte d’ivoire, Gabon & Senegal).

Adeline’s contribution to help younger women has not gone unnoticed and this has been recognized yet again by the American Chamber of Commerce in Cameroon.The President of AmCham Laure E. Djoukam in her speech says they are successful because they have a strong board of directors behind what they do. She equally encourages women not to let any discrimination of any kind to stop them from achieving their goals.
