Strategic African Women in Leadership (SAWIL) Marks 10 Years of Empowerment in Partnership with Corporate Women in Leadership (CWIL)
Strategic African Women in Leadership (SAWIL) is delighted to announce its 10th anniversary, which will be celebrated with a grand three-day event from 28-30 November 2024 in South Africa. This milestone event, hosted in partnership with Corporate Women in Leadership (CWIL) from Cameroon, will feature a series of impactful activities, culminating in an unforgettable grand finale.
A Decade of Empowerment and Leadership
For the past decade, SAWIL has been at the forefront of empowering African women through leadership development, executive coaching, board training, entrepreneurship support, and mentorship. To mark this significant achievement, SAWIL, in collaboration with CWIL, will host a Womenβs Leadership Summit under the theme "Decade of Impact: Lifting as We Rise." This inspiring summit will include a CEO Forum breakout session, providing a platform for distinguished leaders to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing women in leadership across Africa.
Recognising Excellence in Leadership
The anniversary celebration will shine a spotlight on exceptional women and organisations making a difference in Africa. Key highlights will include the prestigious SAWIL Trailblazers Awards & Gala Dinner, celebrating women who are shaping Africaβs future, and the CWIL Corporate Awards and Dinner, recognising companies that excel in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and governance practices. A Career and Business Expo will also be held during the summit, connecting aspiring women with potential employers and showcasing innovative women-owned businesses.
A Day Dedicated to Giving Back
The celebration will conclude with the Chairpersonβs Charity Golf Day, featuring a golf tournament and a special golf clinic for aspiring golfers. This event will bring together golf enthusiasts and newcomers alike, all in support of a worthy cause.
