Chelsea is considering signing the Nigerian Footballer Victor Osimhen from Napoli.

Simultaneously, negotiations for the Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku to join the Italians are ongoing.

He will return to Chelsea training this week after two seasons on loan at Inter Milan and AS Roma.

Chelsea had earlier stated that it would not pay the release fee of Osihmen from Napoli, but would explore loaning him.

The departure of Lukaku from the British club to Napoli would free up money on the  pay bill of Chelsea, increasing the chance of a deal for Osimhen.

Football experts said that the most likely scenario would be for the Nigerian striker to join Chelsea on loan with the option to buy him at the conclusion of the season.

Both players are training separately from their respective squads because of the uncertainty surrounding their futures.
