The CRAFT by Side Hustle brewery will become the first-ever legal producer of alcohol in the United Arab Emirates, by end of 2023. The brewery will be opened in the capital city, Abu Dhabi. The Caterer Middle East magazine reported that the brewery will be located at The Galleria Al Maryah Island mall.

As a reminder, the UAE Culture and tourism department in 2021 issued a circular featuring standards and conditions to enable the licensed production of alcoholic beverages in the country.The CRAFT by Side Hustle brewery has already proved compliance with the UAE standards for alcohol manufacturing, according to the report.

The founder and CEO, of The CRAFT by Side Hustle brewery, US entrepreneur Chad McGehee, was quoted as he stated that his team was committed to delivering innovative experiences in the field of food and beverages, which are "worthy of the UAE’s high standards."

"As founders of a local craft movement, we acknowledge the responsibility presented to us and are both humbled and thrilled to open Abu Dhabi’s first craft microbrewery," McGehee said.

The brewery will equally serve mixed drinks, coffee and US-style food.
