North-West Cameroon Rising: The Economic Forum Ushering a New Era

It is the dawn of a new era for the North-West Region of Cameroon, with the upcoming North-West Economic Forum (NWEF), scheduled for July 12-13, 2025; a beacon of hope and opportunity. This landmark event, to be hosted by the North-West Regional Assembly, aims to unite over 1,000 stakeholders under the theme "From Resilience to Renaissance: Strategies for the Economic Transformation of the North-West Region."

The region has faced significant challenges over the past decade, primarily due to the Anglophone crisis, which has led to instability, economic decline, and infrastructure setbacks. Yet, amidst this adversity, we see a remarkable opportunity for renewal. This Forum is not just a gathering; it is a collective call to action to reimagine and rebuild a prosperous future.

The NWEF will provide a vital platform for inclusive dialogue among government officials, private sector players, development partners, civil society representatives, and members of the diaspora. Together, they will co-develop a comprehensive roadmap to address pressing challenges such as security, infrastructure, industrialization, and youth unemployment. Key components of the Forum include ministerial panels focusing on economic transformation and strategic discussions on resilience, recovery, and rebranding the North-West Region.
