CASEC Medical Mission Delivered Vital Care to Baloum, Cameroon
The CASEC Medical Mission organised by the Patcha Foundation has gone to Baloum to provide much-needed free healthcare services to hundreds of disadvantaged people.
From June 10 to June 12, 2025, the mission converted this remote village into a centre of health, education and hope.
The CASEC mission, which stands for cancer awareness, screening, early detection and treatment is a mobile medical outreach that serves as a fully equipped pop-up hospital, offering multi-speciality treatment to areas where healthcare access is typically limited or non-existent.

Three Days Of Compassionate Care
Over three days (from 10th to 12th June 2025), the CASEC team of volunteer medical doctors, nurses, lab technicians, pharmacists, health educators and others provide a wide range of services, including the cancer screenings, general medicine, speciality care, dental care and extractions, HIV, malaria, hypertension and diabetes testing and mental health support, physiotherapy and pharmacy access.
These services were provided thanks to generous donations from partners and local organisers.
During the mission, over 5000 patients were seen with many receiving medical treatment for the first time in years.

Empowering Communities Through Health Education
The purpose was intended to educate and empower people as well as treat illnesses. Everyday, workshops and community discussions were presented on topics such as early cancer detection, HIV/AIDS prevention, nutrition and lifestyle, mental health awareness, hygiene and illness prevention.
Local health workers were trained to develop long-term expertise about screening, treatment and patient counselling, guaranteeing that the influence of the mission would continue after the team left.

Humanitarian Spirit In Action
Volunteers from Cameroon and abroad, including medical doctors, nurses, lab technicians, pharmacists, health educators, physiotherapists, students and other support personnel were motivated by a common desire to serve.
Local leaders in Baloum gave logistical assistance such as housing, meals and transportation, demonstrating the true spirit of teamwork.

In just three days (10–12 June 2025), the CASEC Medical Mission brought transformative healthcare services, expertise, and community empowerment to Baloum. By combining free multi‑specialty care with local training and health education, the mission made a lasting impact on both individual lives and the regional health ecosystem.
